I am in training for the 2004 Amateur National
Strongman Championships, held in Atlanta, GA on
October 9,10 & 11. My training has run into a few
road blocks, namely four bulging vertabrae in my lower
back and a small tear in my left quad. I am trying to
fight through and I still plan on competing.
I guess if things were easy, everyone would be
winners. It is tough to excel at something and
getting over road blocks along the way is part of it.
I still think the events set up well for me at
Nationals and if I can get through these injuries and
show up in good shape, I have a great chance to do
well.
