My workouts have been getting stale lately. I need a change. My core workout, the one that my workouts over the year generally follow, is a workout in which I lift weights every other day. I feel, in general, over the long haul, your body needs that day of rest before you hit the weights again, especially if you are training with the correct intensity.
But sometimes, I do train with weights everyday and I have decided it is time for me to do that again, for a relativity short period of time -- 8 weeks. For the next 8 weeks I am going to train with weights every week day and then take the weekends off. Here is what my workout will be:
Monday

Barbell Bent Over Rows 1x20, 1x10, 3x5, 1 by total positive failure

Dumbbell Rows 3x12
Seated Calf Raises 3x20
Standing Calf Raises 3x20
Wednesday
Squats 1x20, 1x10, 3x5, 1 by total positive failure
Leg Press 1x20, 3x8, 1 by total positive failure

Rest
These workout sessions are going to be very intense and fast paced. I will move very quickly between every set and exercise. The only time I will take a little extra rest between sets is during the heavy 3 sets of 5. For these sets I will take about 2-3 minutes of rest between sets. The workouts will take approximately 45 minutes, except for leg day, which will take more like an hour.
I am going to try to get stronger, especially in the big 3x5 sets listed above. I am going to try to move up 5lbs in the weight I use in the 3x5 sets each week (10lbs per week for squats).
I am not going to do any cardio work during these 8 weeks. You can do cardio if you want. If you are more concerned about staying lean or getting leaner you can do cardio any time you can fit it in during the week, but keep in mind, since you are training with weights every day, you are right on the edge of over training, especially if you are training with the intensity and heavy weights you need to cause positive muscle and strength growth. So, take it easy on the cardio. This is only for 8 weeks and maybe what your body needs right now is some more muscle and functional strength. That is what I need right now and I am going to go get it over the next 8 weeks!
During these 8 weeks, diet, rest and supplementation are also going to be important. I am going to make an effort to eat at least 6 separate small meals each day, each containing good protein, good carbs and some good fat. I am also going to make an effort to get at least 9 hours of good sleep per night, which will really help me recover and grow.
As I alluded to above, my workouts are going to be different for these 8 weeks, as I will be lifting weights everyday (with weekends off) instead of every other day. The way I take my supplements is also going to be different for these 8 weeks. I usually take most of my supplements in a pyramid fashion (gradually increasing the dosage over time and then bringing it back down), but for these 8 weeks, I am just going to take almost every supplement I sell at maximum dosage. I am doing this because I really want to prevent over-training and improve my recovery rate due to the elevated training volume.
I am not going to take my 3,6,17-Androstenetrione and 17-Methyl-Dione Extreme (Version IV) during the 8 weeks. They are great products, but the reason for their omission is due to the fact that I have been taking a lot of those supplements lately, for a long period of time in a row. I think if I get "off" these supplements for 8 weeks, my receptor cells will open more to these compounds and when the 8 weeks is over I can go back "on" them and get better results. Plus, since I am taking all the other supplements I sell, at maximum dosage, I know I can pack on some serious muscle and strength during these 8 weeks, even without those "advanced" compounds.
So, for supplements I am going to take:
100% Whey Protein
Between 2-12 servings per day, depending on how much I need to take based on how much natural food sources of protein I got in that day. I will always have one serving before and after my workouts. Other great times to take 100% Whey Protein is when you wake up in the morning and before bed.
Kre-Alkalyn Buffered Creatine
2 scoops, just mixed with water, on non-training days (the weekend), in the morning. I am only taking Kre-Alkalyn Buffered Creatine on non-training days because this supplement is already in my Shock To The System™ product, which I will be taking on training days. The reason I don't take Shock To The System™ (mixed with Gatorade) on non-training days is because the only time it is advantageous to take in the sugar in Shock To The System™ (and Gatorade) is before, during and after workouts.
Recovery Orange™
2-3 servings per day (2 on non-training, 3 on training days), just mixed with water. In the morning, before bed and after workouts.
Beta-Alanine
4 capsules before every workout.
Beta-Ecdysterone
4 capsules per day, spread out across the day as much as possible, with one capsule always before bed.
ZMA Night Growth™
4 capsules before bed, every night.
EstroBlock™
4 capsules per day, spread out across the day as much as possible, with one capsule always before bed.
Shock To The System™
2 servings mixed with Gatorade in a big 30 ounce water bottle. Start drinking before workout, drink during workout and finish after workout.
Liv52
2 capsules, twice daily.
